Follow your technician on the day, chat in the app and get before-and-after photos. For most bookings your card is authorised at booking and charged when the job is complete.

What you need
- Photo ID with a liveness check, and the right to work in the UK
- A Basic DBS certificate (we can arrange one, or accept one under 12 months old)
- Public liability insurance, minimum £2m cover
- Working-at-height competence for roof access, plus PASMA or IPAF if you use towers or MEWPs
- Pure-water cleaning equipment and suitable PPE

How often should solar panels be cleaned?
For most UK homes, once or twice a year is enough. Homes near farmland, busy roads, the coast or trees may need more frequent cleans. Your technician can advise after the first visit.
Do you use chemicals?
No. Technicians clean with purified water and soft brushes only. Detergents can leave residue that attracts dirt, and pressure washers can damage panels and seals.
Are the prices on this page final?
No. They are indicative starting prices including VAT. Your exact price depends on panel count, roof height and access, and is shown in the app before you book.
When am I charged?
For most bookings your card is authorised at booking and charged when the job is complete. Any cancellation or call-out fee is shown before you confirm. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Are technicians employed by Vimells?
No. Technicians are independent professionals. We verify their identity, right to work, Basic DBS certificate and insurance before they can take bookings, and we monitor ratings continuously.
Who is liable if something is damaged?
Every technician must hold public liability insurance. If something goes wrong, report it in the app and we'll manage the claim with the technician and their insurer.
Do I need to be home?
Not usually. As long as the technician can safely reach the panels, you can follow the job and receive photos in the app.
What if it rains?
Light rain doesn't affect a pure-water clean. In high winds or storms your technician will rearrange the slot with you in the app.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from the app. Our full cancellation and refund policy will be published before launch, and any fee is always shown before you confirm.
